Tax programming on the Sharp ER-A530 is pretty easy. Here ya go.
- Turn the MA Key to the PGM 2
- Enter 2711
- Press the Decimal Button
- Press the @/FOR Button
- Press 1 for tax rate 1, 2 for tax rate 2, 3 for tax rate 3, 4 for tax rate 4
- Press the @/FOR Button
- Enter Tax Rate as 00.000 (use the decimal key)
- Press the @/FOR Button
- Enter the lowest taxable amount Example is everything over $0.01 taxable enter 1, or does tax kick in a $0.10 then you would enter 10. (most tax districts I have seen tax starts at $0.01)
- Press the CA/AT (Cash) Button
- Turn key to Reg and test.
I am trying to figure out in the manual, how to program a 25% off discount coupon before taxes and how to ring it up.
Can you help?
Thanks,
Lizz
You have to program one of the discount keys for a pre-set percentage. Then you can make it taxable which will tax the discount (what most people want) or non taxable which will not discount tax.
To ring it up depends on whether you made it an item discount of sale discount. If an item discount just press the discount button right after you sold teh item, if sale discount you must press subtotal first then the discount button.
