The ER-5200 uses 2.25" thermal paper rolls in both the receipt and journal printers. Because it uses thermal paper you do not need an inking device at all. This model can use a full size roll of 200' to 230' feet maybe more so while you can use the small rolls designed for credit card terminals a larger roll works better. Make sure you keep paper in you machine even if you don't issue a receipt.
